A postgratuated certification course for dentist
Craniomandibular Disorders (CMD)represent a significant health problem in the population. In recent years numerous therapeutic approaches have been established for the treatment of CMD. Nevertheless, in some cases, you do not archive the desired success. Reasons for this are the complexity of the disease and the requirement for a greater diagnostics and inter-disciplinary coordination by the clinician. The Center of Postgraduate Education at the Christian-Albrechts-University (ZwW Kiel) is offering a curriculum in diagnosis und therapy of CranioMandibular Disorders CMD in collaboration with the Clinic of Orthodontics of the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel. The certificate courseprovides dentists with a postgraduate qualification in order to take responsibility for complex medical care concepts with state-of-the-art, scientifically proven techniques and methods and to implement them with outstanding results.
The applicant has successfully completed a study of dentistry. The professional equivalence of foreign degrees must be certified.
The study program is meant to be extra occupational with 2 semesters duration. The presence periods take place on Campus Kiel of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein. After passing the final exam, the academic certificate "Specialist in CMD" is awarded.
VOLUME OF STUDY
9 modules will be worked out within 180 hours of instruction.
The tuition fees are 675 Euro per module. The fees include teaching materials, participation in the attendance weeks and access to the study platform on intranet of the Kiel University. Start of the next certification course is in october 2019.
